  I visited Barbeques Galore today and after waiting a short time for assistance, the Manager (at least I think it was the Manager) went out the back and gave some of his staff a move along.
  
  Finally a staff member appeared but he was so disinterested and less then helpful and in all honesty I don't think he really wanted to be there.
  
  I asked him about an adapter for the gas bottle I was purchasing and he just waved me over to the wall and said 'you'll find one over there' and walked off to fill up the gas bottle. When he finally came back In asked him if the adapter I had found was the right one and got 'I suppose so'... still not at all interested.
  
  It takes a lot to wind me up but what happened to being polite.

  Very friendly and attentive staff and good range of products. Although we ended up purchasing a Ziggy twin grill and a bunch of accessories, I was somewhat disappointed by the lack of discounting offered, particularly since a 20% off sale occurred a week after we bought it.

  Couldn't ask for better service, the assistant went to necessary effort to find the spare parts we needed. Tracked some down in Sydney for us. No worries, all ordered, small deposit required, expected delivery 3 weeks. All good

  Bought the Zigler and Brown triple grill today. Was served as soon as I enetred the store but I did do most of the reasearch myself and knew exactly what I wanted. The sales guy was very knowledgeable and suggested a couple of components I wasn't aware of. I bought one of the combos and discovered there was a missing component. Went back got the component and a small gift for our trouble.

  The sales guy knew less about the BBQs than I did with an hour on the Internet before hand. At the register they refused to let me use a card without the card present (I have a special card for big purchases that I don't carry. Usually people are quite happy to take my money). Then I got home and found out that the warehouse guy had loaded the wrong BBQ. So it took me three trips to purchase one product.
  
  I'm really happy with the BBQ, but staff need a lot more training and management could do with some more flexibility. This shop has a virtual monopoly as their competition don't open on weekends. Maybe put prices up 5% and spend that money on improving your staff.
